Encrypted transfer for a one-time copy, or private sync for ongoing changes on paid plans.
Encrypted device transfer
Available on every plan. It makes a one-time copy of your cameras, locations and selected settings, compresses it, encrypts it with a six-digit PIN, and shows it as a QR code or a SEYES1 text code.
- The other device needs the full code and the PIN.
- A checksum catches damaged or incomplete text codes.
- Credentials travel only inside the encrypted payload, never as readable QR text.
- If the receiver reports an incomplete code, wrong PIN or newer format, make a fresh code.
Ongoing private sync
Standard and Pro keep camera config and selected settings in sync using your own iCloud, not our servers. Camera passwords can use iCloud Keychain if you allow it. If sync is slow or offline, local viewing carries on.
Status
Configuration sync is built but still needs its two-device release test. Event sync is built but off until its private cloud container exists. Until then, each device keeps its own local timeline.
