These terms explain the license you receive, how subscriptions and purchases work, and the responsibilities that come with connecting security cameras.
Agreement to these Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the SecureEyes application, website, and related features and support ("SecureEyes" or the "Service"). By downloading, purchasing, accessing, or using SecureEyes, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use SecureEyes for a business or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Your license
Subject to these Terms and any applicable marketplace rules, SecureEyes grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you control for lawful camera viewing and management.
SecureEyes and its logo, software, interface, documentation, and original content remain owned by SecureEyes or its licensors. You may not copy, resell, sublicense, distribute, reverse engineer, bypass plan restrictions, remove notices, or create a competing derivative except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Your cameras, credentials, and network
You are responsible for your cameras, network, devices, storage, passwords, and configuration. You must own each camera you connect or have clear authorization from its owner or administrator.
You are also responsible for maintaining secure camera passwords, updating camera firmware, protecting device access, and determining whether recording, audio monitoring, notifications, or surveillance is lawful in each location. SecureEyes does not grant permission to monitor any person or property.
Free plan, subscriptions, and lifetime purchases
Plan availability, camera limits, features, billing period, trial terms, and price are shown before purchase. Marketplace product information presented at checkout controls if it differs from promotional website copy.
- Paid subscriptions renew automatically for the displayed billing period until canceled.
- You can manage or cancel through the marketplace account used to subscribe.
- Canceling stops future renewal and normally leaves access active through the paid period.
- Refunds are handled under marketplace rules and mandatory consumer law.
An optional lifetime purchase is a non-transferable license to use the purchased plan without recurring plan fees for as long as SecureEyes supports that purchase, subject to these Terms. "Lifetime" does not promise perpetual development, compatibility with future hardware or operating systems, or operation after the Service is lawfully discontinued.
Features marked "roadmap," "planned," "preview," or "coming" are not included as currently available functionality unless the purchase screen expressly says otherwise. We may change future plans and pricing, but we will not retroactively convert a completed lifetime purchase into a recurring subscription.
Acceptable use
You may not use SecureEyes to access a camera without authorization; stalk, harass, intimidate, exploit, or unlawfully monitor another person; violate privacy, wiretap, employment, tenancy, or recording laws; distribute unlawful footage; interfere with networks or devices; probe systems you do not control; or facilitate harm.
You may not attempt to defeat purchase validation, camera limits, licensing controls, or security measures. We may suspend access to account-dependent or licensed features when reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, security threats, or material violation of these Terms.
Camera compatibility and availability
SecureEyes supports commonly implemented ONVIF and RTSP features, but camera vendors, firmware, codecs, authentication methods, network configurations, and protocol implementations vary. We do not guarantee compatibility with every device, stream, control, or future firmware version.
Local viewing depends on your network and equipment. Optional sync, purchase restoration, updates, and future remote features may depend on internet access or third-party infrastructure. We may update, improve, replace, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law and existing paid entitlements.
Camera and protocol names may be trademarks of their respective owners. Compatibility references do not imply sponsorship or endorsement.
Not an emergency or life-safety service
SecureEyes is a camera viewer and management tool. It is not a monitored alarm, emergency notification, medical, fire, intrusion-detection, or dispatch service. Streams and alerts can be delayed, interrupted, inaccurate, or unavailable.
Do not rely on SecureEyes as the only means of protecting people, property, or evidence. In an emergency, contact the appropriate local emergency service or alarm provider.
Updates and account termination
You may stop using SecureEyes at any time. Uninstalling the app does not automatically cancel a subscription. We may terminate or restrict access to account-dependent features for material breach, fraud, legal requirements, or security risk, with notice when reasonably possible.
Updates may be required for security, compatibility, or continued operation. If these Terms materially change, the updated version will show a new date, and additional notice or consent will be provided when required.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecureEyes is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted operation, universal camera compatibility, error-free video, or fitness for a particular security purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SecureEyes and its developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, including lost footage, lost data, security incidents, missed alerts, property loss, or lost profits arising from use or inability to use the Service.
Where liability cannot be excluded, aggregate liability relating to SecureEyes will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for the Service during the twelve months before the event or the minimum amount required by applicable law. These limits do not apply where prohibited or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
General terms
If any provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; we may transfer it as part of a business reorganization or sale, subject to applicable privacy obligations.
Mandatory consumer protections and the laws that cannot be waived in your place of residence continue to apply. Any dispute should first be raised through support so both sides have a reasonable opportunity to resolve it informally.
