Why we built SecureEyes
Because the cameras are yours. Checking on your own house shouldn’t take four apps, four logins and a subscription for each.

IP cameras are cheap and easy to buy. The catch comes later: every brand ships its own app, its own login, its own notifications and its own cloud. Buy two or three brands over the years and you end up flicking between apps just to see your own driveway.
SecureEyes goes around all of that. It talks to your cameras directly over your own network and puts them on one wall. There’s no SecureEyes account to create, and no cloud of ours between you and your cameras.†
Around that we built what we wanted ourselves: discovery that finds your cameras for you, an honest list of the cameras we’ve tested, walls you can arrange however you like, private sync between your own devices, and an optional Hub that records to storage you control.
The one exception is yours to choose. With a Pro Hub, Watch away from home goes through our relay, sealed end to end so the relay cannot see your video. It is off until you turn it on, and the relay is not open to the public yet.How it worksPrivacy policy
What we hold ourselves to
- Your cameras stay yours
- Live video goes from the camera to your screen without passing through anyone else’s server. Not ours, and not a camera maker’s.
- Open standards, not lock-in
- We build on ONVIF and RTSP, not on any one brand’s software, so one app works across brands and no camera needs an account of its own.
- We tell you what we’ve actually tested
- If we haven’t tried a camera, the site says so. If a feature is still on the roadmap, it’s labelled that way. No fine print.
