Reset SecureEyes on this device

What a reset removes

• Every camera and location on this device.
• Every saved camera password, and the sign-ins remembered for each scanned network. If Camera passwords is turned on in Sync & Devices, the copies in iCloud Keychain are deleted too, even when you choose This device.
• All events and their pictures, all clips, and camera thumbnails.
• Every setting. Theme and language go back to System.
• This device's pairing with any Hub. Nothing on the Hub itself changes.
• iCloud sync is switched off first.

What a reset keeps

• Your purchase. A plan you bought is still active afterwards. A plan that came from a paired Hub ends, because the pairing is removed.
• Everything stored on a Hub.
• The cameras on your other devices, unless you choose This device and all my others.

Reset this device

1. 01Choose More, then General. On a Mac you can also choose SecureEyes > Settings… in the menu bar.
2. 02At the bottom, under Reset, find Reset app and choose Reset.
3. 03Confirm. The choices depend on whether iCloud sync is running (see below).
4. 04A message reads Resetting, then App reset, with how many cameras were removed.

If iCloud sync is off

When sync is off, or not running on this device, SecureEyes asks Reset this app? Choose Reset. Your other devices keep their cameras.

If iCloud sync is on

SecureEyes asks how far the reset goes:

• This device: your other devices keep their cameras, and the copy in iCloud stays as it is. Turning sync back on here brings those cameras back.
• This device and all my others: also empties the shared iCloud copy, so every device signed in to your iCloud account loses these cameras when it next syncs. A second question, Reset every device?, asks you to confirm with Reset. Settings, events and clips on your other devices are left alone.
