Find your way around Settings

Open Settings on iPhone

1. 01Choose More in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
2. 02A list of sections pops up above the bar. Choose one.
3. 03To go back to the list of sections, choose the back arrow at the top, or swipe right. From Locations, back goes to Cams & Streams.

Open Settings on iPad

In a narrow window, such as a small Split View, SecureEyes uses the iPhone layout, and Settings shows one section at a time.

1. 01Choose More in the bar at the bottom of the screen.
2. 02Choose a section. Settings opens with every section listed beside it, under SETTINGS, so you can switch sections there.

Open Settings on a Mac

A Mac window made very small switches to the iPhone layout, as on iPad.

1. 01Choose SecureEyes > Settings… in the menu bar, or press Command-comma. Settings opens on General.
2. 02Or choose More in the bar at the bottom of the window, then a section.

• SecureEyes > About SecureEyes opens About.
• Cameras > Network Settings opens Network.
• Cameras > Locations opens Locations.

The sections

• General: Theme, Language, Navigation labels, Open on, Auto-advance pages, Keep the screen awake, and on iPhone and iPad Full screen when idle. Reset app is at the bottom.
• Cams & Streams: defaults for every camera: Grid stream quality (Substream, Main or Auto), Hardware decoding, Stream statistics and Motion border. The Locations group at the bottom, with its Manage button, opens the Locations page.
• Network: Scan Now, the ways to add a camera, ONVIF discovery, Subnets to scan, Scan timeout, RTSP transport (Auto (TCP), TCP or UDP), Reconnect automatically and Default ports.
• Hub: shown on Pro, or once a location is paired with a Hub.
• Notifications: the switch at the top turns notifications on or off. Notify me about sets People, Vehicles and Animals for each camera. A Mac also has Show banners on this Mac.
• Recording & Storage: event picture size, how long events are kept, recording defaults, storage limits, and Clear all events.
• Sync & Devices: iCloud sync, Send setup, Receive setup and My devices.
• Privacy & Security: app lock, Auto-lock, and where camera passwords are kept.
• About: version, Your plan, Restore purchases, and Help & legal (Contact support, Report a problem, Privacy policy, Licenses).

Values shown in the More list

• Cams & Streams: how many cameras you have.
• Notifications: On or Off.
• Recording & Storage: how much space events use.
• Sync & Devices: Local only or On.
• About: the version number.

What stays on this device
