Choose how long events are kept

Open the settings

1. 01Choose More, then Recording & Storage.

Set the picture size and the days

1. 01Under Capture, choose an Image size: Small (480 x 270), Standard (640 x 360, the default), High (1280 x 720) or Maximum (1920 x 1080). Bigger pictures are clearer when saved or shared and take more space.
2. 02Choose Keep events for: 1 Day, 3 Days, 7 Days (the default), 14 Days or 30 Days.
3. 03Turn Record unrecognised motion off if you only want events where a person, vehicle or animal was found. It is on by default.
4. 04Read the estimate under these rows, "About 1.2 GB at these settings" for example. It uses your own event rate over the last week once every camera has had an event in that week. Until then it assumes 150 events per camera per day.

Set a storage limit

1. 01Under Storage, Events stored shows how many events are on this device and the space they use.
2. 02Choose a Hard limit: 1.0 GB, 2.0 GB (the default) or 5.0 GB. When events pass it, the oldest are deleted first, the next time SecureEyes starts.

Change it for one camera

1. 01In Live, bring the camera onto the main picture, choose Settings, then Advanced Settings.
2. 02Open Camera Features.
3. 03Set Image size and Keep events for for this camera. Default · 7 Days (or your own default) means it follows Recording & Storage.

When old events are deleted

• SecureEyes deletes old events each time it starts, not while it runs.
• When cameras have different Keep events for settings, all events are kept for the longest of them, and the Hard limit still applies.
• Only pictures stored on this device count toward the limit.
• Deleting never touches copies you saved to Photos.

Delete everything now

1. 01Under Storage, choose Clear next to Clear all events.
2. 02In "Clear all events?", choose Remove.

• With iCloud sync on, events still in your iCloud can come back to this device the next time it fetches events.
