When the Hub is blocked

A Hub that has an owner and no valid licence stops serving and recording, and says why. Nothing is deleted. Each cause has its own code, SE-STA-028 to SE-STA-032, and its own fix.

What blocked means

The Hub stops live view, recording and motion, and takes no changes to cameras, walls or recording settings. Its screen shows why it stopped instead of going black. It never deletes anything.

What keeps working

  • Signing in to its web page.
  • Settings: Licence, Network, time, and Devices.
  • Reset.
  • The camera list and events already logged.
  • Recordings and clips already on the Hub. They still play and export.
  • The SecureEyes app plays the cameras it can reach directly.

Causes and fixes

  • SE-STA-028, Activate Pro for this Hub: it was set up but Pro was never activated. Open SecureEyes on the device that bought Pro and set this Hub up.
  • SE-STA-029, This Hub needs the internet to check its licence: the licence ran out while the Hub could not reach the licence server. Connect it to the internet, or open SecureEyes on the phone that bought Pro while it is on the same network.
  • SE-STA-030, This Hub's Pro plan has ended: the subscription ended. Renew Pro in the SecureEyes app.
  • SE-STA-031, This Hub's Pro purchase was refunded: buy Pro in the SecureEyes app.
  • SE-STA-032, This Hub was removed from its Pro plan: activate it again in the SecureEyes app. It needs a free seat.

After you fix it

  1. 01Sign in to the Hub's web page and go to Settings, then Licence.
  2. 02Press Check now.
  3. 03The Hub starts serving and recording again straight away. Left alone, it checks by itself every few minutes for the first day, then every hour.
