Browse motion events on the Hub's web page

Each time a camera reports motion, the Hub keeps one still. Browse them by the hour, filter by camera and time of day, and jump to the footage.

What an event is

An event is one still the Hub takes when a camera reports motion. It is not a video: the footage around it is under Footage. A camera only makes events if the Hub can subscribe to its motion reports. Check its Detection tab if a camera has none.

Browse a day

  1. 01Choose Events in the rail. It opens on today, newest hour first.
  2. 02Use ‹ and › to change day.
  3. 03Choose camera chips to show only those cameras. ALL shows every camera.
  4. 04Under WHEN, choose ANY TIME, DAY (06:00 until 18:00), NIGHT or LAST HOUR.
  • The count at the top reads “N of M today” while more is loading, then “N today”, or “N shown of M today” when a filter hides some.
  • More of the day loads as you scroll.

Open an event

  1. 01Choose a still. It opens with the camera, the time and the frame.
  2. 02Dashed boxes, when shown, mark where the picture changed.
  3. 03Choose Open in Footage to play the footage from that second, or Cut 20 s around it to keep a clip.

When a day is empty

  • “Nothing on this day”: no event that day matches the camera and WHEN filters. Choose ALL and ANY TIME to see every event.
  • “The hub stopped answering for this day.”: choose Try again.
  • An event whose still could not be taken is not shown in the grid, but is counted.
