Restart the Hub or reboot its box
Restart the Hub from its page when something is stuck; reboot the whole box when that does not help. The page has no shut down.
Restart the Hub
- 01Sign in to the Hub's page and open Overview. While the Hub has no cameras, the left rail calls it This Hub.
- 02In MAINTENANCE, next to Restart the Hub, choose Restart.
- 03Read Restart the Hub? and choose Restart.
- 04The page says Restarting. This page reconnects on its own.
- Recording stops cleanly and the current clip is closed. Live views drop for a few seconds and come back on their own.
- Nothing is recorded while the Hub is down.
Reboot the box
- 01In MAINTENANCE, next to Reboot this box, choose Reboot.
- 02Read Reboot this box?, type reboot in the field, and choose Reboot. The button stays greyed out until the word matches.
- 03The page says Rebooting. Give it a minute.
Headless box
If the box does not come back, the only fix is at the box itself. Reboot a box you cannot reach only when a restart did not help.
From the box
- Restart the Hub: sudo systemctl restart sehub
- Reboot the box: sudo systemctl reboot
- The page has no shut down. To turn the box off, run: sudo systemctl poweroff. The Hub stops its recorders cleanly before the box goes down.
If it does not work
- the power helper did not answer in 30s. The helper that restarts and reboots the box is missing or not running. Check it on the box with systemctl status sehub-power.path. A Hub installed before the helper existed gets it with the next update: Update the Hub. Until then, restart or reboot from the box.
- Could not reach the Hub to ask. The Hub did not answer. Check it is on and on the network.
