Find your way around the Hub's web page

Open it

Open https://<Hub address>:8443 in a browser and sign in. See Sign in to the Hub's web page. To open it from SecureEyes, already signed in, see Open the Hub's web page, or sign a browser in.

The rail

The rail on the left has two parts. Under MONITOR are the pages you watch. At the foot is Settings.

• Overview: what the Hub is doing now, and anything that needs you.
• Cameras: the cameras on the Hub. The number beside it is how many.
• Events: motion snapshots by the hour.
• Footage: recorded video, one camera and one day at a time.
• Clips: the parts of footage you kept.
• Wall: what a screen plugged into the Hub shows.
• Settings: nine tabs, Storage, Network, Recording, Licence, Devices, Time, Logs, Advanced and About. Settings on its own opens Storage.
• Once you have opened Events, Clips or Wall in this browser, a number appears beside it: the events on the day shown on Events, the clips kept, or the saved walls when a screen is plugged in.

While the Hub has no cameras

A new Hub shows SETTING UP in the rail with four rows: This Hub, Cameras, Storage and Pair the app. This Hub is ticked from the start. Once a camera is added, the rail shows the full set of pages.

The status chip

The chip at the top right says what the Hub is doing, worst first.

• DISK WILL NOT TAKE WRITES: the recording disk refuses writes (SE-STA-006).
• 1 CAMERA RECORDING NOTHING, or the number of cameras affected: those recorders have written nothing for ten minutes.
• RECORDING: the media engine runs and cameras are recording.
• RUNNING: the media engine runs and nothing is recording.
• STARTING: the media engine has not answered yet.
• ENGINE DOWN: the media engine is not running (SE-STA-007).

Banners at the top of every page

• SE-STA-007 “The media engine is down.”: no camera can be watched and recording has stopped. Cameras, settings and recordings are untouched, and the Hub restarts the engine by itself.
• “Watching from outside the house is ON.”: remote access is on. Turn off switches it off.

The Overview

• Four tiles: CAMERAS, RECORDING, DISK and LICENCE. Each opens the page that owns its number.
• The attention panel. When all is well it says “Nothing needs attention”. Otherwise it is headed NEEDS ATTENTION · N and lists each problem, with its code where it has one, and a link or a button such as Storage, Open camera, Try again or Use this disk.
• THIS HUB: its address, name, software version and updates, media engine, board, paired devices, events today, what it can do with video, and fingerprint.
• LAST HOUR: the last hour of the log. All logs opens Settings, Logs.
• MAINTENANCE: Restart, Reboot, Back up and Reset. See Restart the Hub or reboot its box, Back up the Hub or move it to another box, and Reset a Hub to new.
