Set up a new Hub

Install it

1. 01Install the Hub on a 64-bit Linux machine with the one-line installer on the Download page.
2. 02Plug a screen into it if you want a TV wall. A screen is optional.
3. 03The Hub starts by itself. Its screen shows SecureEyes Hub and a QR code. The same QR is on its web page at https://<Hub address>:8443.

Claim it

1. 01Open SecureEyes on the iPhone, iPad or Mac that has Pro.
2. 02Go to Settings, then Hub, and tap Scan QR.
3. 03Scan the QR on the Hub's screen or web page.
4. 04The app claims the Hub and activates Pro for it over the internet. When it is done, the QR leaves the Hub's screen.

• The QR carries every address the Hub has, best first, so the app has another to try when the first does not answer. It follows the Hub if its address changes.
• The code changes each time the Hub starts, so an old photo of it does not work.
• For 15 minutes after it starts, a Hub nobody has claimed can also be claimed from the app without scanning.
• Once one device has claimed the Hub, nothing else can. Add more devices from a device that already uses it.

Until Pro is activated

A claimed Hub with no licence is blocked. Its screen says Activate Pro for this Hub, and it serves no live view and records nothing. When the Hub is blocked has the fixes.
