Archived builds
SecureEyes Hub builds from 0.9.0 on, newest first, with their notes and the sha256 of each file. Older builds are retired.
These are preview builds. For a new install, use the latest version on the Download page.
Installing an older version over a newer Hub has not been tested, and the newer one may have changed its data. Back up the Hub before you try.
Install an archived build
The one-line installer always takes the latest version. For an older one, install the file by hand, on the box that will run the Hub.
Debian, Ubuntu or Raspberry Pi OS: the .deb
- Run
dpkg --print-architecture. It prints arm64 or amd64. - Copy the link of that version's .deb from the list below, and download it:
curl -fLO <link> - Run
sha256sumon the file, and check the result matches the sha256 beside it in the list. - Install it. apt installs what the Hub needs, and the Hub starts.
sudo apt install ./secureeyes-hub_<version>_<arch>.deb - On a new box, claim it from the app: Set up a new Hub.
Fedora, RHEL, Arch or openSUSE: the tarball
- Run
uname -m. aarch64 means arm64, and x86_64 means amd64. - Install sqlite 3, ca-certificates, openssl, python3, tar, gzip, and an ffmpeg 5 or later that decodes h264 and hevc.
- Download that version's tarball, and check it with
sha256sumas for the .deb.curl -fLO <link> - Unpack it:
tar -xzf secureeyes-hub_<version>_<arch>.tar.gz - Run its installer:
sudo secureeyes-hub_<version>_<arch>/install.sh
More on each system: Install the Hub.

LatestA Hub that stops while it is still checking its cameras' clocks now shuts down cleanly, so a restart or an update leaves no error in its log.

Motion detection comes back after an update or restart: the Hub gives each camera its event link back before it stops, so a camera with room for few links no longer refuses it for up to ten minutes. While the Hub updates, its page is locked, says each step, and reloads on the new version.

Each device can watch up to sixteen cameras at once from away, up from four. Watch back marks where nothing was recorded and where recording started again. The Events page keeps loading a long day. The licence reads as renewing itself every day. A slow recording disk pauses recording instead of ending it, and the Cameras tab says why a camera is in trouble and what to check.

Watch away from home stays reachable: the Hub keeps its line to the relay alive with a ping every 30 seconds and dials again when the line drops, so turning viewing on from outside the house works after hours of idle. A Hub recording to a network share starts in seconds instead of minutes.

Watching away from home now plays live video through the relay; before this the Hub left the stream addresses out of its answer to a phone away from home, so the app tried the cameras' home addresses instead. A new switch on the Hub's page, Allow turning on from anywhere, lets a paired phone turn Watch away from home on from outside; it is off by default, and while it is off the Hub keeps no line to the relay when watching is off. Each remote session is now protected against being replayed, a browser sign-in is refused through the relay, and every change of the remote switch is logged with the device that made it. Swiping through cameras away from home no longer trips the stream limit, and a camera the Hub no longer has answers with its own code.
