Camera not found or not reachable

Local Network permission, Wi-Fi isolation, subnets, ports, VPNs and blocked discovery.

Check these in order

  1. 01Confirm the camera is powered and reachable in its own app or web page.
  2. 02Turn on Local Network permission for SecureEyes in system settings.
  3. 03Make sure the device and camera are on the same LAN. Guest Wi-Fi and AP isolation block device-to-device traffic.
  4. 04Disconnect any VPN for a moment. Its route may be winning over your camera network.
  5. 05Check the ONVIF and RTSP ports. "Connection refused" means the address answered but nothing is listening on that port.
  6. 06If multicast is blocked, add by IP or run a subnet scan.

Codes you might see

  • SE-NET-001: check power, cabling, Wi-Fi and the address.
  • SE-NET-004: Local Network permission is off.
  • SE-NET-005: the camera is on a different subnet.
  • SE-NET-006: a VPN or firewall rule is blocking the route.
  • SE-SCAN-003: the network blocks discovery. Add by IP instead.
