Choose a camera's stream, or set its stream paths

Choose which stream a camera shows

A chosen stream is used for this camera on Live, in grids and in full screen. Auto follows More > Cams & Streams > Grid stream quality. The same choice is Stream view in Quick camera settings. A camera with one stream shows This camera offers a single stream. and no choice.

1. 01Open the camera's settings and choose Video.
2. 02Under Live view quality, choose Auto or one of the camera's streams (for example Main or Sub).

Ask the camera for its streams again

Found N streams confirms it, with From ONVIF. or From verified paths. No playable stream found means nothing new was found; the camera keeps the streams it had.

1. 01Open the camera's settings and choose Video.
2. 02Under Re-detect stream, choose Re-detect.

Test known settings for this camera

Nothing is saved until you choose a setting. The list starts with settings for the camera's own brand; Show N settings from other brands adds the rest.

1. 01Open the camera's settings and choose Connection & Access.
2. 02Under Stream profile, choose Change Profile. Try known settings opens.
3. 03Choose Test on a setting, or Test all.
4. 04Choose Use on a setting that works. Use anyway keeps one that could not be confirmed.

Type the stream paths yourself

Type the path only, not the whole rtsp:// address. Saving paths detaches the brand profile.

To go back to automatic, open Enter Manually again, clear every field and choose Apply and Reconnect. Then choose Video > Re-detect: until you do, the camera keeps the addresses you typed.

1. 01Open the camera's settings and choose Connection & Access.
2. 02Under Stream profile, choose Enter Manually.
3. 03Type the Main stream path, for example /Streaming/Channels/101.
4. 04Optional: type the Sub stream path. Leave it empty and the main stream is used everywhere.
5. 05Optional: type the RTSP port. It applies to both paths.
6. 06Choose Apply and Reconnect.

Set the ONVIF port

Set this only if the camera answers ONVIF on a port SecureEyes does not try. Ports must be between 1 and 65535.

1. 01Open the camera's settings and choose Connection & Access.
2. 02Under ONVIF port, choose Set Port.
3. 03Type the port and choose Save. Leave the field empty to go back to automatic.

Pin TCP or UDP for one camera (Standard and Pro)

On Free the row is locked. The app-wide setting in More > Network > RTSP transport is on every plan.

1. 01Open the camera's settings and choose Connection & Access.
2. 02Under Connection mode, choose the TCP option or the UDP option.
3. 03To go back to the app setting, choose Follow App Default.
