SE-SYNC-001: Not a SecureEyes code
The link that opened Receive setup did not carry a SecureEyes setup code.
What it says
SE-SYNC-001: Not a SecureEyes code. That does not look like a SecureEyes setup code.
Where you see it
In Receive setup, under the key boxes after you type the eighth character of the key: the message is the hint followed by "Error SE-SYNC-001" (the title is not shown there). The boxes clear and shake. It appears only when Receive setup was opened from a link (for example the Camera app) that did not carry a SecureEyes code. A typed or pasted code that is not one says "That is not a SecureEyes setup code." with no code, and a QR code that is not one is ignored.
What to do
- 01On this device, choose Rescan: at the top of the screen on iPhone, under the key boxes on iPad and Mac (there it reads Use a Different Code when this device's camera could not be used).
- 02Scan the QR code on the sending device with SecureEyes itself, or choose Enter Code (iPhone) or Enter Setup Code Instead (iPad and Mac) and paste the code that starts with SEYES2:.
- 03Type the key again.
