Give a second lens its own tile
Show each lens of a multi-lens camera as its own tile on Live and on your walls.
Who gets it
Extra tiles need Standard or Pro. On Free the switches show a lock; tiles added earlier stay until you remove them. The option appears for any camera that has two or more streams.
Add a tile
The new tile appears beside the camera's own tile, on Live and on every wall. Every extra tile is another connection to the camera and another stream to decode.
- 01Choose Live, then the camera.
- 02Choose Settings, then Advanced Settings.
- 03Choose Video.
- 04Under Extra tiles on the wall, the camera's own tile is listed first (On the wall now). Turn on another stream to give it a tile. For a second lens, turn on the row that says A separate lens. A row that says “The same view as …, at another size” would show the same picture again.
Remove a tile
To get a removed tile back, turn its switch on again in Extra tiles on the wall.
- Turn its switch off in Extra tiles on the wall.
- Or on Live, open the tile and choose Remove where Settings usually is, then confirm.
- Or, on iPad and Mac, choose the remove button on its row in the camera list (Remove This Tile). It removes the tile straight away.
- Or, on iPhone, touch and hold its thumbnail in the strip and choose Remove followed by the tile's name in quotes.
- Or, in full screen on that tile, choose the pin icon at the top (Remove Pin) and confirm.
What an extra tile cannot do
On an extra tile, Remove takes the place of Settings, and Pan & Zoom is dimmed, because those change the whole camera. Open the camera's own tile to use them. From an extra tile, the expand button opens full screen on the camera's own tile.
