Why this device left its Hub
When this device's plan is confirmed below Pro, it unpairs from its Hub by itself and says so. Nothing on the Hub is deleted.
What happened
A paired Hub needs Pro on this device. A device with no plan of its own gets Pro from a licensed Hub. A device whose own plan is Standard keeps Standard. When the store confirms this device is below Pro and the Hub does not grant it, the app unpairs from the Hub and says The Hub was handed back.
- Cameras not isolated: The Hub needs Pro, so this device unpaired from it and now talks to the cameras directly. Everything already recorded stays on the Hub's disk.
- Cameras isolated: The Hub needs Pro, so this device unpaired from it. The cameras were on the Hub's own network and kept their passwords there, so each one needs its login again before it will play. Everything already recorded stays on the Hub's disk.
- If iCloud sync is on, the message adds Your cameras sync through iCloud from now on.
Not on sale yet
Pro is not on sale yet, so no Hub can be activated today. This is how it works once it can be.
What does not happen
- Nothing on the Hub is deleted, and the Hub keeps working for every other device.
- A purchase check that fails or runs offline never unpairs a device. Only a confirmed answer from the store does.
- A device with no plan of its own is not unpaired while its Hub has not answered yet.
To use the Hub again
- 01This device needs Pro of its own. Until it has it, Hub does not appear under More.
- 02Pair it again with a code from a device that uses the Hub. See Add a phone or tablet to your Hub.
