Group cameras into locations

Who gets it

Creating locations needs Standard or Pro. On Free, Add Location shows a lock, and every camera is in one list. If you move to Free, Live stops filtering by location and shows every camera in one list.

Create a location

1. 01Choose More, then Cams & Streams. On a Mac you can instead choose Cameras, Locations in the menu bar and skip the next step.
2. 02In the Locations group, choose Manage.
3. 03Choose Add Location.
4. 04Type a Name and pick an Icon.
5. 05Choose Save.

Edit a location

1. 01On the Locations page, find the location's card.
2. 02Choose Edit Location, change the name or icon, and choose Save.

Empty a location

A location cannot be deleted. To take its cameras out of SecureEyes, choose the button on its card that names them, for example Remove All 3 Cameras (Remove the Camera when there is one), and confirm. The cameras, their saved streams and their sign-ins are removed; the location stays.

Move a camera to a location

The camera's settings page has the same choice under General, Location. On Standard and Pro the camera then leaves the Live list you are looking at, unless Group Live by location is on.

To choose where new cameras land, set Location for new cameras on the Locations page. It can be changed once there are two or more locations.

Switch Live between locations

• iPhone (Standard and Pro): choose the location chip at the top of Live.
• iPad and Mac (Standard and Pro): choose the Location field above the camera list.
• The chip and the field open a menu once there are two or more locations.
• To see every camera at once instead, turn on Group Live by location (iPhone) or Group the Live grid by location (iPad and Mac) on the Locations page. Live then lists every camera in location order; on iPad and Mac the list has a heading for each location.
