Put walls on your Mac displays
On a Mac, arrange your cameras into walls in All Streams and open each wall in its own window on any display.
Open All Streams
The button is hidden until you have a camera, and the menu item is dimmed while Live shows no cameras.
Walls are the pages of your layout. When Wall 1 is full, the next cameras go on Wall 2. A wall never mixes two locations. On Standard and Pro the page shows the walls of the location chosen on Live, or every wall when Live is grouped by location.
- 01Choose All Streams at the top right of the window. Or choose View, All Streams in the menu bar (Shift-Command-F).
- 02The page lists your displays under DISPLAYS, then one card per wall.
Launch a wall
While a wall is open on a display, its card shows still pictures instead of live video.
- 01On the wall's card, choose Launch on followed by the display's name. (Before the display list loads the button just says Launch.)
- 02The wall opens in its own window on that display. Its card now shows which display it is on and a Close window button.
- 03To open it as a normal window instead of full screen, turn off Full screen at the bottom of the card before you launch.
Arrange walls
- Press and hold a tile in a card's preview, then drag it onto another tile to swap them, in one wall or between walls. The open wall windows update.
- Choose Change wall layout on a card to give that wall its own layout. See Choose a wall layout.
- For a location with a Hub (Pro), the page reads and saves the Hub's own walls. If the Hub does not answer, you see The Hub did not answer for its walls.
In a wall window
- Press Escape to leave full screen.
- A camera that stopped shows RECONNECTING or NO SIGNAL, its code if there is one, and RETRY. After one press the button reads FIND STREAMS, which asks SecureEyes to look up that camera's streams again.
- A wall window has no clock and no network chip.
Close a wall
- In All Streams, choose Close window on the wall's card.
- Or, in the menu bar icon's menu, choose Close wall (Close all followed by the number of walls, when several are open).
If a wall will not open
- The wall could not open (Error SE-WALL-001): launch it again.
- The wall could not read its cameras (SE-WALL-002), shown in the wall window: close that window and launch it again.
- The wall's display went away (Error SE-WALL-003): the wall moved to another display. Reconnect the display to move the wall back.
Mac only
The in-app full screen wall and Full screen when idle are for iPhone and iPad. On a Mac, walls are windows.
