SE-STA-017: The camera answered but nothing playable was found

The camera answered, but the Hub found no stream it can play with the choice and the account it was given, so it saved nothing.

What it says

SE-STA-017: the camera answered but nothing playable was found

Where you see it

On the Hub's web page, in the Adding <address> dialog, when the Hub refuses to add a camera: a red strip with SE-STA-017, the Hub's reason, and "Nothing was saved. Pick another family, or try a different account." When nothing playable was found, the Hub's log says "add <address>: nothing playable" with the reason. The app shows "The Hub would not add <address>: <reason>", without the code.

What to do

  1. 01In the Adding <address> dialog, pick another choice in the list and choose Add this camera again.
  2. 02Or close the dialog and add the camera again with a different user name and password.
  3. 03If you know the camera's RTSP path, choose Enter an address under Add by address on Cameras, type the path in RTSP PATH, ONLY IF YOU KNOW THE CAMERA NEEDS ONE, and choose Test this camera. In the dialog choose Add on the typed path, or Add on that path if the Hub could not read the camera. That path is saved untested.
