A camera says it is not responding or has no stream
What each camera tile state means on Live, and the button that fixes it.
No playable stream
The camera is saved but SecureEyes has no stream address for it. The tile shows the camera's name, No playable stream and Fix This Camera.
- 01Choose Fix This Camera. The camera's settings open.
- 02Choose Video, then Re-detect.
- 03If that finds nothing, follow Choose a camera's stream, or set its stream paths.
Not responding (OFFLINE)
Nothing answered at the camera's address. The camera may be powered off, or its address may have changed. The line under the message names the error code.
- 01Choose Retry Now.
- 02If it still fails, the button becomes Find Streams Again. Choose it to ask the camera for its streams again.
- 03If the camera moved, choose Scan for a New Address. On Scan for cameras, choose Scan 1 Network.
- 04If the camera is listed under Already added with address changed from, choose Update. If it is listed under New devices instead, do not add it again: open the camera's settings and use General > Update IP Address.
Refused the stream (CANNOT OPEN STREAM)
The camera answered, but the RTSP stream would not open.
- If the reason is the sign-in, the button reads Sign in again. It opens the camera's settings: choose Connection & Access > Update Sign-In.
- Otherwise choose Retry.
- If the camera has more than one stream, Try main stream sets this camera to its main stream. It stays that way until you set Video > Live view quality back to Auto.
- Copy Details copies the camera name, address, state, error code and stream address with the password hidden. Paste it into a support email.
Reconnecting
SecureEyes is retrying by itself. Choose Cancel to stop the retries. To stop automatic retries everywhere, turn off More > Network > Reconnect automatically.
In a grid of tiles
These full messages and buttons appear on Live and in full screen. A smaller tile in a grid shows only its state and Tap to retry. Open the camera on Live to see the rest.
