SE-NET-006: No route to this camera

This device has no network route to the camera's address. A VPN on this device, or a network rule between two networks, can do this.

What it says

SE-NET-006: No route to this camera. A VPN or a network rule may be blocking the way. Disconnect the VPN and try again.

Where you see it

On the Live stage (full screen shows no code), the camera's panel reads "<camera> is not responding" with the badge OFFLINE ("Loading <camera>" while a camera that has never played is still being tried), and an amber line under it ends with "Error SE-NET-006". The same failure is the subtitle of the connection row in the camera's settings under Connection & Access, and on a Mac wall window the tile shows NO SIGNAL or RECONNECTING with the bare code under it. It also comes as an error message after a camera action whose failure the app reads this way: Run test and Reboot under Maintenance, Check Again, Fetch Thumbnail, the Change OSD name switch, and Light on Live.

What to do

  1. 01If this device is connected to a VPN, disconnect it.
  2. 02Check that this device is on a network that can reach the camera. A camera on a separate network, such as a separate camera network or guest Wi-Fi, is not reachable unless the networks are connected.
  3. 03Back on Live, when the panel reads "<camera> is not responding", choose Retry Now. While it reads "Loading <camera>" it is still retrying on its own and has no buttons.
