SE-NET-009: Relay stream limit reached
From SecureEyes 1.2. Away from home, the Hub refused another live stream for this device through the relay (HTTP 429): this device was already pulling as many streams as the Hub allows. A Hub before 0.12 stops at 4 cameras at once for each device, and a Hub on 0.12 or later at 16. SecureEyes itself plays up to 16 at once away from home and holds the next one back with Close a camera to watch this one, which has no code. So a Hub before 0.12 can refuse a fifth camera while the hint names 16.
What it says
SE-NET-009: Relay stream limit reached. Away from home, this device can watch up to 16 cameras at once through the Hub. Close one and try again.
Where you see it
On the Live stage (full screen shows no code), for a camera that plays through the Hub's relay away from home: the camera's panel reads "<camera> refused the stream" with the badge CANNOT OPEN STREAM, and an amber line under it ends with "Error SE-NET-009". The amber line reads "HTTP 429 · this device is at its relay stream limit" before the code. Copy Details copies the camera, the code and the reason. The same failure is the subtitle of the connection row in the camera's settings under Connection & Access, and on a Mac wall window the tile shows the bare code. The app files any failure whose words carry the status 429 or "too many requests" under this code, so it also comes as an error message after a camera action (Run test and Reboot under Maintenance, Check Again, Fetch Thumbnail, the Change OSD name switch, Light on Live) whose failure says so.
What to do
- Close a camera you are watching through the Hub, such as another tile or a wall, and wait about 5 seconds. The Hub stops counting a stream a few seconds after its last request.
- Back on Live, choose Retry on the panel. After one press it reads Find Streams Again.
- When you are home, check the Hub's version in the Software row on the Overview of its web page. A version before 0.12 allows 4 cameras at once from each device.
- Update the Hub to 0.12 or later to watch up to 16 cameras at once. See Update the Hub.
