SE-SCAN-001: No cameras responded

The scan ran and no device answered on any network it looked at. The cameras are usually fine: something stands between this device and them.

What it says

SE-SCAN-001: No cameras responded. Check that SecureEyes has Local Network access, and that you are on the cameras' Wi-Fi.

Where you see it

On Scan results, when a scan finishes and nothing answered at all, neither the discovery message nor any address in the ranges swept: a box above the results, in place of "No new devices", with the title, the hint, "Error SE-SCAN-001" and a line that a guest network, or client isolation (AP isolation) in the router, keeps devices from seeing each other.

What to do

  1. Check Local Network access. On iPhone and iPad: Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network > SecureEyes. On a Mac with macOS 15 or later: System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network.
  2. Check that this device is on the cameras' network, not a guest network.
  3. If this device and the cameras share one Wi-Fi, check whether the router's AP isolation (client isolation) is on, and turn it off for that network.
  4. Check that the cameras are powered on and fully started, then choose Scan Again.
  5. If you know a camera's address, choose Add, then Add by IP address.
