SE-STA-006: Recording storage full or unwritable

The Hub cannot record to its recording storage: the disk is missing, not answering, refusing writes, or full of files the Hub will not delete. Live viewing carries on, and nothing already recorded is deleted.

What it says

SE-STA-006: recording storage full or unwritable

Where you see it

On the Hub's web page: an item under Overview > NEEDS ATTENTION ("The recording disk is not there", "The recording storage is not answering", "The disk will not take a write" or "The disk stopped accepting writes"); the RECORDING tile reads "stopped · SE-STA-006"; a strip at the top of Events, Footage and Clips ("The recording disk is not answering"); strips on Settings > Storage (including "nearly full" as a warning); and a strip on a camera's Recording tab. The Hub also logs it.

What to do

  1. 01On the Hub's page, open Overview and read the SE-STA-006 item under NEEDS ATTENTION. It says which of the problems below it is.
  2. 02The disk is not there: check it is plugged in and powered, then restart the Hub: on Overview, under MAINTENANCE, choose Restart beside Restart the Hub, then Restart. If the disk is gone for good, fit another and choose it with Change disk on Settings > Storage.
  3. 03The storage is not answering: check the disk, or the server of a network share, is on and reachable from the Hub, then open Settings > Storage again. It asks afresh every time.
  4. 04The disk will not take a write: open Settings > Storage for the system's own reason, and choose another disk with Change disk if this one is failing.
  5. 05The disk is full of things the Hub will not delete: delete clips you no longer need, choose Clean up now on Settings > Storage, or give recording a disk of its own.
