Watch recorded footage on the Hub's web page
Pick a camera and a day on the Footage page, then play, scrub, jump between motion and change speed.
Open a camera's day
- 01Choose Footage in the rail. No camera is selected at first.
- 02Choose a camera's card, or its name in the row of camera chips. A camera's own Footage link on the Cameras page, or on its page, opens it directly.
- 03The page opens on today, or on the last day with footage, and plays without sound from that day's first recording. Use ‹ and › beside the date to step a day, Today to come back, or choose the date to open a calendar. Days with footage are marked.
- Only cameras set to record have footage. See Record cameras continuously on the Hub.
Play and move around
- 01Press or drag anywhere on the timeline under the picture. Playback starts there. The pointer snaps to a nearby motion mark.
- 02Use Play / Pause, −10s and +10s.
- 03Use ◀ Prev event and Next event ▶ to jump between motion marks.
- 04Choose a speed under SPEED: 1×, 2×, 4× or 10×.
- Blue marks on the timeline are motion events. Hover over one to see its still.
- SHOWING with − and + changes how much of the day the timeline shows, from the whole day down to one minute. The mouse wheel over the timeline does the same.
- The magnifier button reads Magnify 1×. Each press steps it through 1.5×, 2×, 3× and 4×, then back to 1×. Drag the picture to look around.
- Footage starts without sound. Unmute turns it on.
- A camera with two lenses shows one choice per lens. A camera that recorded its main stream shows Full resolution and Light.
- Footage that is not H.264 is re-encoded for the browser, so at 4× and 10× the picture may pause while the Hub catches up.
When there is nothing to play
- “No recording at this time. Next at HH:MM.”: the camera did not record this stretch. The clock keeps running and playback resumes at the next recording.
- “No recording after this time.”: nothing more was recorded that day.
- “Nothing recorded on this day.”
- “That moment would not play. The hub log says why.”: see Settings, Logs.
- “Playing without sound: this browser will not start audible video on its own.”: choose Unmute.
Why a stretch is missing
The web page does not say why a stretch was not recorded. The SecureEyes app's Playback does: see Record cameras continuously on the Hub.
Keep part of it
The CAPTURE A CLIP panel beside the picture keeps a piece of this footage. See Save, download and delete clips.
The same job in the App docs
Watch back footage from your HubPlay what your Hub recorded for a camera, jump to motion, and save a frame or a clip.
