SecureEyes at a glance
SecureEyes is an IP camera viewer for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It plays ONVIF and RTSP cameras from any brand straight over your own network, with no account and no cloud needed.†
The facts
- Name on the App Store
- SecureEyes: IP Camera Viewer, by Ashier de Leon
- Devices
- iPhone and iPad with iOS 15 or later. Mac with macOS 12 or later. A plan bought on one device works on your other devices with the same Apple ID.
- Cameras
- Any camera or NVR that speaks ONVIF (Profile S or T) or RTSP. H.264 and H.265, main and sub streams.
- Adding cameras
- A scan finds ONVIF cameras on the same network, usually in under 30 seconds. Any camera can be added by its IP address.
- Tested on our own cameras
- Hikvision, Dahua, Reolink and TP-Link Tapo, each with its own guide, and Amcrest. See Will my camera work?
- Walls
- 1 to 16 cameras on one screen, in 16 layouts. On a Mac, each wall opens in its own window on any display.
- Events
- Motion events on a timeline. Person, vehicle and animal are recognised on the device with Apple Vision, and nothing goes to us. Events are kept for 7 days by default.
- Camera controls
- Pan, tilt and zoom on cameras that have it, night vision and the spotlight, and restarting a camera.
- Privacy
- No SecureEyes account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Camera passwords stay in the Apple Keychain.
- Languages
- Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), English, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Spanish and Thai.
- Free
- Up to 3 cameras and 6 layouts.
- Standard
- Up to 16 cameras, every layout, several locations, iCloud sync, moving your setup to another device, and app lock with Face ID or Touch ID. $5.99 a month, $39.99 a year, or $99.99 once.
- Pro
- No camera limit, and the SecureEyes Hub. $9.99 a month, $79.99 a year, or $149.99 once.
- The Hub, with Pro
- An always-on service for a Raspberry Pi or another Linux computer you own (arm64 or amd64). It records every camera around the clock to your own disk. Watching from away goes through the SecureEyes relay, sealed end to end, and is off until you turn it on. One Pro purchase covers 3 Hubs.
- Latest version
- 1.2.4, released November 2026 on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
What SecureEyes doesn’t do
- There is no Android or Windows app today.
- There is no cloud recording service. Clips and events are kept on your own devices, and a Hub records to your own disk.
- Cameras that only work through their maker's cloud don't work, such as stock Ring, Nest and Blink, and Wyze on its stock firmware.
- Cameras that only offer WebRTC, or need the maker's app to show video, don't work either.
Prices are in US dollars, as the US App Store shows them. Checked 3 Nov 2026.
The one exception is yours to choose. With a Pro Hub, Watch away from home goes through our relay, sealed end to end so the relay cannot see your video. It is off until you turn it on.How it worksPrivacy policy
