SE-AUTH-001: Sign-in rejected
The camera answered and refused the request: SecureEyes files any failure whose text says 401, 403, unauthorized or forbidden under this code. Usually the username or password is wrong, but a 403 (forbidden) answer does not always mean that.
What it says
SE-AUTH-001: Sign-in rejected. Update this camera's username and password.
Where you see it
On the Live stage (full screen shows no code), the camera's panel reads "<camera> refused the stream" with the badge CANNOT OPEN STREAM, and an amber line under it ends with "Error SE-AUTH-001". Copy Details copies the camera, the code and the reason. The same failure is the subtitle of the connection row in the camera's settings under Connection & Access, and on a Mac wall window the tile shows the bare code. Its first button is Sign in again. It also comes as an error message after a camera action whose failure the app reads this way: Run test and Reboot under Maintenance, Check Again, Fetch Thumbnail, the Change OSD name switch, and Light on Live; after Test in scan results, when the camera refuses the sign-in you typed; and in the error message after adding cameras from a scan when a camera was added with no stream because the sign-in was refused.
What to do
- 01On the Live panel, choose Sign in again. The camera's settings open. Or open them yourself: in Live, select the camera, choose Settings under the picture, then Advanced Settings.
- 02Choose Connection & Access, then Update Sign-In under Camera sign-in.
- 03Type the camera's Username and Password, then choose Connect.
- 04If it is refused again, sign in to the camera's own web page with the same username and password to confirm them.
- 05If live video plays with the same sign-in and only an action such as Reboot, Light or the Change OSD name switch shows this code, the camera accepted the password and refused that action. Check what the account may do on the camera's own web page.
