SE-NET-004: Local Network access is off
The system kept SecureEyes off this device's own network because Local Network access is off for it. Cameras on this network cannot be found or played until it is on.
What it says
SE-NET-004: Local Network access is off. Turn on Local Network for SecureEyes in system Privacy settings, then try again.
Where you see it
On Scan results after a scan, on iPhone and iPad and on a Mac with macOS 15 or later: a box above the results, in place of "No new devices", with the title, the hint and "Error SE-NET-004". It shows when the system refused the scan's discovery message the way Local Network privacy does, and nothing on this device's own network answered. A camera that fails for the same reason on Live shows SE-NET-001, and its row under Connection & Access names Local Network access.
What to do
- On iPhone and iPad, open the Settings app, then Privacy & Security > Local Network, and switch on SecureEyes.
- On a Mac with macOS 15 or later, open System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network, and switch on SecureEyes.
- SecureEyes is listed there only after it has asked once. If it is not listed, run one scan first.
- Back in SecureEyes, choose Add, then Scan the network, then Scan Network.
