SE-STRM-005: Not enough bandwidth
The camera answered RTSP 453: there is not enough bandwidth for the stream as it is set up.
What it says
SE-STRM-005: Not enough bandwidth. Lower this camera's resolution or bitrate, or switch the grid to a lower quality.
Where you see it
On the Live stage (full screen shows no code), the camera's panel reads "<camera> refused the stream" with the badge CANNOT OPEN STREAM, and an amber line under it ends with "Error SE-STRM-005". Copy Details copies the camera, the code and the reason. The same failure is the subtitle of the connection row in the camera's settings under Connection & Access, and on a Mac wall window the tile shows the bare code. The amber line reads "RTSP 453 · not enough bandwidth" before the code.
What to do
- 01Open the camera's settings: in Live, select the camera, choose Settings under the picture, then Advanced Settings. A camera saved with no stream shows Fix This Camera in place of the picture, which opens the same page.
- 02Choose Video. Under Live view quality, choose a smaller stream than the one in use, for example Sub instead of Main.
- 03For grids, choose More, then Cams & Streams, and set Grid stream quality to Substream.
- 04To lower the stream itself, open Advanced video settings under Video, choose a lower Resolution, and choose Apply to Camera.
