SE-AUTH-005: Camera locked sign-ins

The camera answered and said it has locked sign-ins, usually for a few minutes after several failed attempts. The password may be right.

What it says

SE-AUTH-005: Camera locked sign-ins. The camera has blocked sign-ins for a few minutes after failed attempts. Wait, then try again. The password may be correct.

Where you see it

On the Live stage (full screen shows no code), the camera's panel reads "<camera> refused the stream" with the badge CANNOT OPEN STREAM, and an amber line under it ends with "Error SE-AUTH-005". Copy Details copies the camera, the code and the reason. The same failure is the subtitle of the connection row in the camera's settings under Connection & Access. SecureEyes files a refusal under this code only when the camera's own answer says the account is locked; any other refused sign-in is SE-AUTH-001. The panel's first button is Retry, and SecureEyes does not retry by itself while the camera is locked.

What to do

  1. Make sure the account saved in SecureEyes is the right one: in the camera's settings, Connection & Access, Update Sign-In. Saving a wrong one again keeps the lock going.
  2. Wait a few minutes. SecureEyes does not ask the camera again by itself.
  3. On the Live panel, choose Retry.
  4. If it is still locked, wait longer before the next try.
