SE-STA-026: Continuous recording refused
The Hub has no valid Pro licence, so it will not start continuous recording. Footage already on the disk stays and still plays. The Hub's own sentence also says it renews its licence when connected to the internet. A Hub with no licence server set (the default) cannot; only the app renews it.
What it says
SE-STA-026: continuous recording refused: it is a Pro capability and this hub holds no valid Pro licence. Footage already on disk stays and still plays
Where you see it
Only in the Hub's log, as "SE-STA-026: continuous recording is Pro ...". The web page shows the situation without the code: cameras set to record read WAITING · LICENCE, with "This Hub has no Pro licence, so nothing is being recorded.", and the NEEDS ATTENTION item carries SE-STA-025. It is logged once, when the licence is refused while cameras are set to record.
What to do
- 01Activating a Hub needs SecureEyes on a device that holds a Pro purchase: the app presents that purchase to the licence server, which issues the Hub's licence. A device without a Pro purchase cannot activate it.
- 02On that device, open SecureEyes while it is on the same network as the Hub. If that device is not paired with the Hub, pair it first (see Add a phone or tablet to your Hub).
- 03Choose More, then Hub. Opening this page asks for the Hub's licence by itself, and a success says "Hub licensed. Pro is on that box now."
- 04To ask again, choose Check again under THIS DEVICE. Check now on the Licence row asks the Hub's own licence server instead; a Hub without one (the default) answers "The Hub could not check its licence".
