Dahua, Amcrest and Lorex cameras
Add a Dahua-family camera to SecureEyes: the stream paths, the two lenses of a dual-lens model, the audio switch on the camera, and what we have tested.
Before you add it
The tested Dahua needed nothing changed on the camera: discovery, its identity, both lenses and all four streams worked on the first attempt. Other Dahua, Amcrest and Lorex models may ship with ONVIF off or need an ONVIF account; the camera's own web page names the setting, and the menus differ by model.

After repeated failed sign-ins the tested camera refused even the right password for a while. Fix the account before you try again, and give the camera time.
Ports and stream paths
- ONVIF: SecureEyes looks on your default ONVIF port first, then on 80, 8899, 8000, 8080, 5000 and 2020. The tested camera answers on 80.
- SecureEyes treats a camera as Dahua when the maker or model name it reports over ONVIF contains Dahua, Amcrest or Lorex. It then uses /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0 for the main stream and /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=1 for the substream, and asks the camera for channel=2 to find a second lens.
- A camera that reports more than one lens over ONVIF gets the streams it reports instead.
- RTSP: SecureEyes builds these paths on port 554. If the camera serves RTSP on another port, set it for that camera: Connection & Access > Stream profile > Enter Manually > RTSP port.
- On the tested camera the second lens is channel=2, and SecureEyes found both lenses by itself. See Give a second lens its own tile.
Sound
The tested camera ships with audio turned off in its own encoder settings, so its streams carry no sound. Turn audio on for each stream in the camera's encoder settings. Then, on the camera's settings page in SecureEyes, open Maintenance and choose Check Again in the Check camera features row.
SecureEyes also shows a Record audio switch for this camera, in Camera Features under Spotlight and microphone. It changes the same audio setting on the camera. Changing it from SecureEyes is not tested yet.
What SecureEyes controls
- The spotlight (the white light) and the microphone go through Dahua's own interface.
- On the tested camera, SecureEyes reads both correctly. Changing them from SecureEyes is not tested yet.

What we tested
- Dahua DH-IPC-PTS1439B-E2-S-PV (dual-lens, pan and tilt), firmware 3.120.0000000.26.R (20 Aug 2026).
- Discovery, both lenses and all four streams worked on the first attempt. Main streams are 2560x1440, substreams 704x576.
- The spotlight and microphone state read correctly through Dahua's own interface.
Not tested yet
- Turning the spotlight or the microphone on or off from SecureEyes.
- Pan and tilt, motion events and H.265 on this camera.
- Amcrest and Lorex cameras on real hardware.
